Privacy policy.

Our published privacy policy is reproduced below, followed by the website-service update for our replacement sites.

We are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of the visitors to our website. Here you’ll find information on how we treat data we collect from visitors to our website.

You can use the website without disclosing any personal information.

Your disclosure of personal information

You may choose to disclose personal information to us when you fill in any forms on this website. This information can be viewed by website administrators, our staff and occasionally contractors who work for us. We therefore recommend you don’t send any sensitive personal information in the website submission forms.

Visitors to our website – Analytics

When someone visits this website we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various pages of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be explicit about this. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.

Access to your personal information – Contact forms

You are entitled to access the personal information that we hold.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-part tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

The period of data retention

Following completion of your project, we retain your personal data for a 24 month period. The legal basis of our holding your personal data is for contract administration. If after the 24 month period there is no longer a contractual relationship your data will be removed.

Data amendments

Upon receiving a request from you to update, correct or amend your personal data, we will make the amendments within a period of 7 days from the date that the request was received.

Security

We are committed to taking appropriate measures designed to keep your data secure. All computer equipment that contains client information is password or biometrically protected and is regularly scanned for viruses and malware. Our processes are designed to protect your data from loss, theft, misuse and accidental, unlawful or unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, use and destruction.

Changes to this privacy notice

We keep our privacy notice under review. This privacy notice was last updated January 2025.

Website-service update

The following update applies to the replacement websites at accessquest.com and pro.accessquest.com. It does not change the published terms or the handling of data collected in our apps.

Website hosting and analytics

The replacement websites use Amazon Web Services: website files are stored in Sydney and delivered through CloudFront’s global network. Unlike the previous website described above, the replacement websites do not load Google Analytics or advertising scripts.

Enquiries

Website enquiries are sent through Amazon SES in Sydney to support@accessquest.com. The details you submit, including your name, email address, optional contact and organisation details, and message, are included in the email; your email address is used as the reply address. The endpoint does not store a copy of your message. It uses hashed request and network-address records to prevent duplicate messages and abuse, with expiry scheduled after 48 hours. Removal is asynchronous. This expiry does not delete delivered emails from the support mailbox. Existing mailbox retention practices are unchanged.

Embedded video and privacy contacts

YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player loads only when you choose to load a video. Loading it makes a connection to YouTube. For privacy requests about the replacement websites, contact support@accessquest.com; the previous website-provider contact above is historical.

Every journey has a story.

“Before my visit, I used Access Quest Navigation and saw a sign with a number to phone ahead to remove the bollards… Without the Access Quest App, the pathway would not have been usable and I would not have been able to view the lighthouse at all.”

Daniel PadgetAccess Quest Navigation user

“Having a mothers room is so handy… Knowing where these places are has made trips out with my baby so much easier.”
